My collaboration with OK GAS has been very satisfactory. They are knowledgeable and everything went according to plan.
Our biggest concern was the water authority regarding the placement of the tank. Thanks to the patience of our account manager, the good advice, and support from OK GAS, everything worked out.
No, we do not do this.
For the installation of a propane tank, you usually do not need a permit. However, the placement and use of the propane tank must be reported to the local authority. A permit is required when the tank is larger than 13,000 liters and/or when there are more than two tanks at one address. Furthermore, you must possess a permit if liquid propane is being withdrawn from one or more propane tanks and/or if there is the use of an evaporator that is connected to one or more of the tanks.
Compliance with safety regulations is crucial when installing a propane tank on your premises. Our account manager will discuss the options with you and assist you in selecting a suitable location for the tank. We will then ensure the installation at the agreed location. Subsequently, the gas line needs to be laid to your residence. OK GAS can take care of this for you, but you may also choose to work with your own certified installer. Once the installation is approved, the propane system can be put into operation.
The price for installing a propane tank on your premises varies depending on factors such as the choice of an underground or above-ground tank and its size. The installation of a standard propane tank, including the installation of the gas line, starts at approximately €900. We would be happy to prepare a customized quote for you to offer the best rates.
Regular maintenance of your propane tank is essential to ensure it remains in good condition and functions safely. Propane tanks must be maintained in accordance with the NPR2578 guidelines. As the tank owner, OK GAS is responsible for carrying out maintenance through visual inspections and periodic tank exchanges. We always schedule an appointment in advance to prevent any unexpected situations.
Yes, that is possible. To minimize this risk, OK GAS uses telemetry. This technology enables remote measurement and transmission of data. For a propane tank, telemetry is employed to measure and monitor the tank levels, allowing OK GAS to be promptly informed of the remaining amount of propane gas in the tank and to refill it in a timely manner.
Yes, that is possible. We have various options for this. For example, we can install an LPG tank with a dispensing unit on your premises.
- Close the gas supply valve of the tank. - Shut off the gas supply indoors. - Extinguish all open flames. - Do not turn on any electrical appliances (be mindful of appliances that may turn on and off automatically). - Open all doors and windows and ensure adequate ventilation at a low level (propane is heavier than air). Call OK GAS and/or your installer.
No, unfortunately that is not possible. OK GAS only fills its own propane tanks, as we can only guarantee safety and control for our own gas tanks.
Vegetation and/or planting around the propane tank is permitted. However, it must not obstruct proper natural ventilation and should be well-maintained. The propane tank must remain sufficiently accessible for operation, refueling, inspection, and maintenance.
No. The propane tank must not be covered. Not even with a camouflage net. This is for safety reasons.
No. OK GAS is a propane gas supplier and only delivers and installs the propane tank. We can also install the necessary underground piping from the gas tank to the residence(s) if needed. We can advise you on the regulations for installing propane-fired equipment and also collaborate with several regional installers.
